Concept
From reality to shared imagination
Each series starts with a real shot: a place, a moment, a concrete fragment of reality that anchors the work in the world as it is. From this starting point, prompts become a second creative tool: they extend, displace, and reinterpret the shot through a sequence of visual metamorphoses. Using AI, the photographer opens the world as it is onto the world as it could be.
Today, almost everyone carries a camera. Smartphone photography has become an everyday gesture, deeply connected to sharing: I was here, I saw this, this happened. The photograph often functions as a shared proof of a moment, a place, or a presence, addressed to friends, family, or a wider network. The selfie pushes this logic further: the camera turns back toward the person holding it, while the world becomes a background.
Shot&Prompt proposes the opposite movement: an opening. The camera remains turned toward the world, and the photograph is no longer an endpoint but a starting point. A street corner, a cloud, a shadow, a reflection, or an accidental encounter can become the first frame of an unfolding visual sequence.
The question is no longer only “What should I photograph?” but “What could the real become?” The photograph remains the starting point, and each prompt is a deliberate human intervention that redirects its possible development. AI serves as a generative medium through which the photographer explores transformations, evaluates their results, selects what to retain, and decides where the sequence should go next.
Shot&Prompt also starts from a simple idea: everyone has a potential way of seeing, transforming, and narrating the world, even when it has not yet found a form of expression. What is often missing is not imagination, but accessible tools and a simple method through which it can take shape. By combining the camera everyone already carries, prompting, and generative AI within a sequential process, Shot&Prompt offers such a framework. It provides a way for latent creative imagination to become visible.
Shot&Prompt proposes another form of sharing. What is shared is no longer only what was seen, but what was imagined from it. The sequence makes a creative trajectory visible: from the initial encounter with reality to successive choices, transformations, and narrative turns. The viewer is invited not simply to look at an image, but to follow this trajectory through a space of imagination and transformation — and perhaps imagine how it might continue.
The shift from proof to imagination makes it possible to share not only the world as it is, but also the world as it could be.
Poetic
A series in which the photograph becomes poetic material. Reality is shifted toward atmosphere, dream, metaphor, memory, or emotion.
Documentary
A series that remains strongly anchored in a real place. Prompted images extend the photograph by revealing historical, social, invisible, or imagined layers of the location.
Surreal
A series in which the initial photograph gradually moves toward the strange, the impossible, or the absurd. Reality remains recognizable, but becomes unstable.
Comic
A series close to a comic strip or graphic novel. Prompted images build a readable visual sequence through framing, characters, scenes, and continuity.
Critical
A series that uses metamorphosis to question a situation: a place, a sign, a rule, an urban trace, a social gesture, or a collective memory.
